Our Nepal Project - building a bridge

The Westhampton Rotary, in partnership with the Nepal district Rotary club, is working to build a bridge across a flood valley to enable children to walk to school safely.    For several months a year the water level of this river is too high for children to cross.  The photos below show the proposed location for the bridge and one of the completed bridges.   The project budget was more than expected and provided for the construction of two bridges.

Funds for this project have been contributed by many family and friends of Lou Capozzola, the Rotary Club of Westhampton, Nepal Rotary and a matching grant from Rotary International.
