The Rotary Club of Westhampton was chartered in 1953, followed with establishing our charitable 501(c)3 entity WHR Charities Inc in 2005.   Our major fundraisers have included the Bill Hautmann Memorial Flea Market in August, our Leonard "Bill" Bishop/ Vin Reilly, renamed the Herb Phillips Memorial Golf Tournament, and an annual Spaghetti Dinner.   These events allow us to provide scholarships for the graduating seniors of Westhampton Beach High School as well as help support local charities including East End Hospice, Family Counseling (part of Family Service League), the local Food Pantry, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck and more.   We have held "Stuff a Bus" food drives, have welcomed the Harlem Wizards basketball team to the high school, and sponsored Magic Shows and dance recitals.    Club members have volunteered to deliver Thanksgiving food baskets, bell-ring for the Salvation Army in December, volunteer for Maureen's Haven, Adopt a Highway cleanup, to name a very few.

Our club gives back to the community in donations for the summer concerts on the Village Green and summer children's events.    We have given donations to support vocational events such as the Business Advisory Board and a Senior Skills Breakfast for high school seniors as well as business networking events.
We partner with the Westhampton Kiwanis club and the Knights of Columbus to hold a Food Pantry fundraiser dinner annually in October, which helps to stock the shelves and provide funds for those in need in the local community.

The Westhampton Beach High School Interact Club is one of the largest in District 7260 (now District 7255) with active students who raise funds for Polio Plus, collect winter coats for the Maureen's Haven guests and assist us with our fundraising events.   Our club has welcomed inbound Youth Exchange students and sponsored outbound Youth Exchange students to countries all around the world.   These students spend the school year living with host families and attending school in their host country.

Our EarlyAct club in the Remsenburg Elementary School was the first EarlyAct club in the District and those students have completed service projects and fundraisers that include car washes, dirty sneaker contests, sending mosquito nets to Africa, sending care packages to military troops.

Our banner was updated during the 2009-2010 Rotary year to reflect our seaside community roots, showing  our beach with a sailboat on the water and the setting sun in the sea.   Also, we pay tribute to the brave members of the 106th Rescue Wing of the New York Air National Guard based at the Francis Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach.

In 2012 our club partnered with the Rotary Club of Nepal, leveraging Rotary International's funding to build a bridge over a flood-prone ravine so children could attend school even during the monsoon season.

Our members come from all vocations and businesses, joining in the spirit of Rotary to provide service to our community.

Westhampton Rotary has been giving back to the community since 1953
