Our first speaker was Carolyn J Probst, Ed.D, Superintendent of Schools for Westhampton Beach. She spoke about the upcoming bond vote, explaining the details and plans for the campus. There are two parts to the vote, both very important for our students. Proposition 1 replaces expiring debt at no additional cost to taxpayers. Proposition 2 represents new debt to fund cooling and fresh air ventilation, elementary school playground and a multipurpose turf field at the Hite Property.
These propositions are the result of the District Facilities Committee reviewing building conditions, district and community needs, safety/security, infrastructure mandates and requirements.
