July 8 bulletin
What a great way to start the new Rotary year, with our new District Governor Lydia Wells making us her first club visit! We learned about Lydia's travels with her military spouse, her teaching career, and her work with counseling students. Very close to her heart is her work in establishing RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) and with the Rotary Youth Exchange.
Lydia asked each member how they came to join Rotary, and the recurring theme was "I was asked." Each one of us needs to keep doing that, just ask someone to join, you never know until you ask.

Rosanne Casella, our Assistant Governor for the past 3 years introduced our new AG, Mark Strecker. He's a member of the Hampton Bays Rotary, so we'll be seeing him around!

Next meeting (July 22nd) will be drinks and Hors d'Oeuvres at The Ketch, we will be celebrating our officer slate:

- Vice President Marie McAlary
- Secretary Peggy Jayne
- Treasurer Jim Hulme
Event cost is $30 with open bar from 5:00-7:30 pm. ******Note that time, earlier than our dinner meetings. Please let Bill know you can come (text him or email). You can bring a check or venmo the funds to Bill @bullmansecurity.
Southampton Town Animal Shelter is asking for help in getting the word out about fostering for their dogs and cats. Contact them directly if you are able to help.
Herb Phillips Memorial Golf is scheduled for Oct 28th at Baiting Hollow Golf Club. Peggy Jayne will be holding a committee meeting soon, so look for that email!
Dues notices will be going out soon -- annual dues are $240, payable to Westhampton Rotary. Bring a check to the next meeting.

Save space in your calendar for the Food Pantry Fundraiser Dinner. Tentatively moving to early November to give some space from the late October golf. Depends on our caterer's availability, so stay tuned.
