We have been asked by the Southampton Town Animal Shelter for help with fostering cats and dogs. We're collecting food items for the Food Pantry, please bring to the dinner meeting. We welcomed a guest to the meeting, Dr. Cynthia Oleski, brought by Rotarian Greg Minasian. Dr Oleski is practicing in the new NYU Langone building on the corner of Mill Road and Sunset Ave.

Meeting speaker at the August 12th meeting was Kevin Mann, Rocky Point Rotary Past President and one of the original founders of the Jerusha Mwiraria Hope Children's Fund.

Incorporated in 2003, Hope Children's Fund is a NY State licensed 501(c)3 that provides for the physical and emotional needs of some of the most vulnerable AIDS affected orphans in Meru, Kenya. He will be leading a mission trip to Meru, Kenya in February 2026.
March 14, 2026 is the date of the 8th Annual Passion for Education Gala which has chosen Hope Children's Fund as beneficiary this year.

Also in August, a followup visit from RYLA student Grady Schultz. He's entering his senior year at Westhampton Beach High School and looking forward to the year ahead.
RYLA, the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, is a global Rotary program offering intensive leadership training camps for young people to develop leadership skills through interactive experiences, community service, and personal growth.

Guest speaker at the Sept. 9th dinner meeting was Rob DiGiovanni, Chief Scientist from the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society. He's been involved with marine conservation for decades with both outreach and education as well as critical response to strandings. Our area has around 200 strandings per year, with whale strandings tending to move to the western areas (NY Harbor) with movement of bunker their food source. Our area has seal and sea turtle strandings as well.

Golf outing is set for Oct 28, 2025 at the Baiting Hollow Club in Baiting Hollow. Sponsor info and entry fees brochure is attached to the calendar event on our club website. Spread the word to your golfing friends!
We need golfers -- forward the brochure (attached to the calendar) to your friends and co-workers. Drop raffle items at Peggy Jayne's house.
Rob Urban will be our Platinum Sponsor and we'll have fireworks following dinner.

Food Pantry Fundraiser Dinner will be Saturday, November 8th.
Kiwanis is leading the event this year with our Knights of Columbus partners. Next committee meeting to stuff sponsor letters will be at 5:15pm Sept. 30th at Our Lady's Hall, behind the Immaculate Conception Church.
Solicit letter for sponsors is attached to the calendar event -- please forward to your friends and family.
Please continue to bring food donations to dinner meeting, Billy will drop off at the Church. The Food Pantry needs cereal, pasta sauce, tuna, hearty soups, condiments, vegetables, black beans, boxed mac & cheese, snacks for children and toiletries (shampoo & soap)
