Next meeting is dinner on February 27, 2024
NEW (old) LOCATION -- Joe's American Grill
Please note the change in venue and go to Joe's on Tuesday!
President Billy is thrilled with our annual Spaghetti Dinner results. Such a great event for our club and fundraiser to help with our community efforts.
From Liz Lederer:
Thank you to everyone who helped last evening at Maureen's Haven. From showing up and dropping off.
Big thank you to the team from Rooted Hospitality.
We had all the help and supplies needed to ensure good meals were provided for dinner, breakfast and lunch.
The evening was a great combination of service and community.
For the next meeting on Feb 27th, we will host the Shinnecock Kelp Farmers as our program.
A multi-generation collective of five women who are enrolled members of the Shinnecock Indian Nation, leveraging a 10,000+-year-old traditional relationship with the sea and with seaweed to capture carbon and nitrogen that has poisoned the waters of Shinnecock Bay and beyond.
They will describe the impact that seaweed has had on their Tribal community for generations, how kelp is healing our waters today, and how our traditional teachings are combining with climate science to save our shores for the next seven generations and beyond.
Coming up on March 9th, the event that tells us all that winter is over and it's time to come out and celebrate! The annual Westhampton St. Patrick's Day Parade, with none other than our own Patty Ziparo-Dalton as Grand Marshal!!
The parade committee holds a fundraiser on March 2nd, at the Westhampton Beach Brewing Co. at Gabreski Airport. Go and support your fellow community members and our Patty!
Be sure to take a look at our calendar for your next service opportunity, Peggy Jayne will be leading road cleanup on March 16th.
Our next fundraiser will be on Saturday, April 6th, an Evening with Psychic Josephine Ghiringhelli. We are partnering with the WHB Performing Arts Center for this event but still counting on all members to help spread the word, ask for sponsors, and direct ticket sales to the PAC. More info to come!
Be sure to let President Billy know how you'd like to get involved, he's always happy to have a hand.
